A bit more about our direct rehoming service…

When we are not able to take in a cat that needs a new home, we try to help via our Direct Homing Service. This is referred to as a “private adoption” as it is up to the adopter to liaise directly with the current carer to decide if the cat is suited to its potential new home. Equally, it is up to the current carer to decide whether the potential adopter will provide a good home and properly care for the cat, including keeping it indoors in its new home for a minimum of three weeks. We feature the cat on our website and give brief details but make no claim to accurate knowledge of the cat, its health, vaccination status and whether it is neutered or microchipped etc.

The current carer continues to look after the cat until an adoption takes place. There are no adoption fees for this, but either party may want to make a donation to the charity, via the link here.

Stanley

Stanley is a 3 year old black and white male, he was brought in after living as a stray for many months, where he now lives with Emily. Unfortunately he does not get along with their resident female cat, and therefore needs to find a home where he can be a single pet. He can be very shy at first, but once you bond with him, he becomes the most affectionate lap cat. He is very food orientated and will happily gobble up anything on offer. He loves to explore the outdoors, so access to outdoor space is needed. He can occasionally give love bites (nothing nasty) but therefore would recommend a household with older children. Loves to play and especially loves catnip.

Leonardo & Reo

We are Leo (Leonardo) and Reo are loving, clever and funny brothers. We still feel and act like kittens although we will be 3 years old in September. We live in a household of other kind cats and a toddler and our foster mum. We met other children and they are not too scary if they don't chase us. We never met dogs. We live in a house that has a catio so we can experience the outdoors a bit but we never got any further out than that as we live by the busy main road. We love to be brushed, chase toys and flies, splash water and massage your lap. We are afraid the sound of plastic bags, keys and the doorbell/visitors.

About us individually  

I am Leonardo, I am grey and white and a little too beautiful. I like my food more hence I am a little bigger than my brother. Sleeping,  being brushed and string toys is the life for me. I will need time to watch you for couple of weeks then I could completely surrender in your lap if you follow the cat ethics of being polite, slow and soft and of course offer me yummies. I am super cuddly and funny if I feel comfortable. I would still need lots of random hiding space so I can sprint there when you have visitors. I am Reo and hope you have a ball or a little mouse for me. If you throw it, I will bring it back for you. I like to hang around you and watch you all day and play with you or sit on your lap. Can we please do everything together? I mean yes, bathroom, too. I have special skills to bring your attention to me 247. I love to be brushed and sleep with you, too..
